Quality Castings at Coburg recently cast a set of four half flywheels, each half weighing 5000kg. The castings were heat treated and machined in house prior to external finishing and joining to make a 3.5m diameter wheel weighing 10 tonnes for a crusher plant at Mt Isa.
Quality Castings Sydney foundry recently cast five Steel 12” valve bodies for use in the gas industry. Finished weight of each casting was 2560 kg.
