Quality Castings Melbourne heat treatment facilities include two large gas fired Car Bottom Heat Treatment furnaces and extensive water quench facilities. These furnaces are used for larger applications and rail track castings up to 10m long. Heat treatment processes include Annealing, Normalising, Stress Relieving products of Super Duplex Steel, Martensitic Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Manganese Steel and Cast Iron. This capability includes a heat treatment of castings to a maximum Diameter of 2.6m.
Quality Castings Sydney plant uses 3 gas fired Heat Treatment furnaces up to 3.0m Long and 1.5m Maximum diameter with water quench facilities with full agitation.
